In July, Vinnytsia IDEA Center “Keshernet" has trained another group of women who have completed the computer courses. Olga Ryaba works as an art designer. Now, when she can use the computer, she can extend far beyond her professional activities. The things Olga used to do by hands are much easier and possible to do now using the computer. Olga wants to master computer graphics and enroll to an architectural university. Voitenko Oksana - seamstress at "Dinamo" factory. She dreams of becoming a fashion designer. We are convinced that she is able to do it now. She knows so much already!
Overview
Through training our girls not only improve their knowledge but also increase their self-esteem. The question is how much did we help them with that? It appears that everything is quite simple. When coming "the first time to the first class" they were afraid of computer equipment and were saying with a trembling voice that they would never overcome this fear of technology, that they would fail, they would not be able to understand, etc. All our arguments that it’s not that bad, and that all the girls who have completed the courses have mastered this “miracle of enemy technology” – the computer, turned out to be useless. The tremor of the knees did not stop. The horror in their eyes when only looking at the monitor is an unforgettable sight. And what did we see by the end of training? Self-confidence, proud poise, and winners’ smile. We did it! Perhaps our report today contains too many emotions, but it’s impossible to refrain. They are the winners, certainly not only of their fear , as this is the first step in overcoming the difficulties of life, and which certainly will lead towards career growth, to an increased authority in front of others, even if those are only their family members for now.
