Word Processing Fundamentals

Course description:
Word Processing Fundamentals focuses on how to use a word processor to write and revise a variety of personal and business documents, from simple letters and memos to complex documents. Students begin by drafting and editing simple Word documents, soon graduating to the use of templates and techniques for sophisticated formatting. Later lessons address the larger issues of document design to have students work with page margins, paragraph indenting and spacing, tab settings, page numbering, page setup, and headers and footers. Students learn to incorporate graphics in Word documents, add columns, and work with tables. They round out their Word skills by learning to send documents as e-mail attachment, view documents in Web preview, and save Word files as Web pages.
